a nonprofit bookstore on cookman with something on almost every night, and one of those nights is Queer Book Club: "a space to celebrate and explore stories by queer authors and about queer lives in all their complexity and beauty... Everyone is welcome, but this space is created first and foremost for queer folks to feel seen, safe, and celebrated." free, no registration, no homework beyond the book. august was ocean vuong. the shop itself is a general-audience bookstore, so come for the club.
