by its own description "a doctor's office to Fire Island Pines and surrounding communities," free to everyone, walk-ins accepted, no insurance needed. it was set up in 1984 after the pines went nearly a decade without a resident doctor, moved into whyte hall's freeman/yeager wing in 2007, dropped its fee schedule entirely in 2009, and by its own count now sees more than 700 residents and visitors a season, with on-site STI testing running alongside the summer clinic.
