'vincent astor is one of the most effective forces in protecting and preserving culturally relevant local GLBT history,' says the library's own finding aid. he spent a lifetime collecting memphis queer paper and gave it to the memphis and shelby county room: pageant and club material, activist coalitions, AIDS records, pride posters, digitised runs of GAZE and the Triangle Journal News, twelve themes deep. fourth floor, open to any researcher during library hours.
